Werfenweng is a family resort located at an altitude of 902m, only 45 km from the Mozart city of Salzburg. The village is one of the 25 “Pearls of the Alps”, a network of communities in the entire Alpine region in Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland, promoting sustainable tourism and climate neutral vacation fjords (bio-fuel cars are in the village to rent). The pearls of the Alps include the well-known resorts of Arosa, Interlaken and Les Diablerets in Switzerland, Bled in Slovenia, Chamoise and Limone Piemonte in Italy, and Berchtesgaden in Germany, all of which meet strict quality criteria to ensure that guests have a stressless and carefree vacation, and at the same time protecting the climate and nature.

Haus Thomas is located in a quiet location about 1 km or 15 min walk from the centre of the village. The Ikarus Cable Car is 2 km away while Dorfbahn Rosnerköpfl is 1km away. A ski ski bus stop is 400 m from the property. Lake Wengsee, for swimming in summer and ice skating in winter, the village restaurants and the grocery store Nah & Frisch are all within easy walking or driving distance 1 km away.
